Getting remarried to Gary Ewing as Miss Ellie, Gary's Mother bought them a house in California. Relocating to the Cul-De-Sac, making a life long friend with Karen as she struggles with Gary getting drunk having an affair with a wife of an AA buddy. Then terrified from being in a hostage situation at Karens house while attending a baby shower.

  Val rode it out and stuck by her man until the next time as Abby snuck in and snatched Gary from her.
