Lilimae struggling still to become a country folk singer visits her daughter Valene and there was a lot of friction between the two because of Lilimae turning Val away when she was running from J.R. and the boys trying to take away her baby Lucy. Lilimae left the house but staying in town until thrown out of her apartment.  Living on the streets she stopped a thief in progress and was on the news the same time as Gary’s commercial was being shown for the first time.  Gary and Val went after her and brought her home to stay for a short while but Lilimae was later charged with shoplifting as they battled in court causing Lilimae to have to live with Val and Gary.  Trying to push her way into the singing business at recording studio Kenny Ward managed.
Lilimae became friends with the Cul-De-Sac group very quickly but had a whit’s about her that kept her on her toes. Taking in a young man named Chip who she developed a motherly love or so it seemed. The relationship between them grew ugly as Lilimae felt responsible for the wrong doing of Chip. Tries to kill him by running over him with a car at the police station, as he was being released.  Had to spend time in jail then in a institution.
She has a son Joshua that came into town not wanting him to know she was his mother. Valene finally convinces her to tell him and so she did.  The two finally came to terms with the mother son relationship till Joshua was star struck by his religious TV program at Abby's station.  Lilimae had to watch as she cursed at her son then causing him to fall off a build to his death.
She later meets a homeless man living out of his car he asked her to marry him but she insisted they live together for now, then the two left the Cul-De-Sac.
